wassup I'm new here.....i have a problem with my 03 SE max, why does one side of my car speaker work when I use the tape to play music??

 

If the sound comes out of all speakers normally when you play the radio or a CD, then the tape player portion of the stereo head unit is toast. Getting just the tape section of the read unit repaired or replaced is usually more expensive that replacing the whole thing.

 

so should I get new radio then?

 

up to you- if you confirmed with another cassette and made sure your balance is in the center. Do you hear anything coming out of it when you shift balance completely to the 'quiet' side? Does it play normally from CD/AM/FM?

 

I just got a whole new radio today but thanks anyway really appreciate it guys
