Broke down on my way to work!
Simply sharing the story of how my 2015 started off.
So Friday, Jan 2nd I was headed to work when all of a sudden the Service Engine Soon light starts flashing, engine starts knocking and whole car is bucking with major loss of power. I pull over and shut it off, minute later start it. MIL is still on, car running rough.
Happened to have my code reader...showed p0305, cyl 5 misfire.
Now I know I've been leaking oil at the rear valve cover and it was on my todo list.
Ordered all parts which showed up sat am. Picked up new plugs too since I'm already in there.
Car towed to my buddy's shop we started to tear down the top. Never did manifold or plugs before but it really wasn't bad at all. Took my time and made sure I knew what went where in disassembly. I did find oil, not in cyl 5, but cyl 3 tube.
After about 4 1/2 hrs and several beers I had a new rear valve cover w/gasket, new plugs and replaced cyl 5 coil pack.
Buttoned everything back up, reset ecu procedure and she was back on the road and happy. As far as I know those were original plugs with just shy of 200k on them-talk about nothing left of the electrode.
We'll see how the repairs hold up but you cant beat $150 for what the dealer quoted at over $800.
Happy New Year.

No, he could've drove it no problem. One cylinder isn't a big deal.
Mine will run fine on 3 LOL (not that you're going anywhere fast).
Hell, a 4 banger honda will drive with one down just fine and they have crap for torque.

it wouldn't go much above 25-started bucking pretty bad at that speed-it was about 10 miles to my shop so she got towed. at least she got me off the highway but I didn't want to make any issues worse than they already were.
