car hard to keep running

Hey guys. Something weird has b en happening, over the past few weeks on cold start the car starts up fine but is hard to keep it. I've been just giving it a slight gas Then it's fine. I did just do an oil change about 3 weeks ago, does that have anything to do with it? I can't think of anything else. The oil level is full but not overfull

sounds similar to what mine did before iacv crapped out.

car started, idle would want to drop low (sometimes to the point it would stall) or be erratic so i'd give some gas to even it out. once it warmed up it seemed to work fine, until it eventually died

could also be the IACV as said, would be worth scanning it for codes to see if theres anything in there to narrow it down

why not both?

if your car is getting up there in miles it wouldn't be a bad idea to replace (even if it's not your problem). my original iacv made it over 200k+ miles before dying, i'm not even mad about having to replace it. coolant bypass would just ensure the new one lasts longer- if your old one is having issues already i don't see the bypass fixing it.

if you do replace iacv use OEM parts, i'd also take the extra time to pull the ecu and make sure there's no damage there either.
