Molex plug for 2000 Infiniti I30 power window
Molex plug for 2000 Infiniti I30 power window
I have a 2000 Infiniti I30 and the other day I installed the window motor/regular assembly in my driver's side door. After re-assembling everything the big white molex plug that connects to the bottom of the power window switch box got all mangled. I carefully squished it back into its spot, but there's no way I can pull it out again without the whole thing falling apart.
The switches all work and the windows go up and down. However for some odd reason the driver window squeaks going up and down and it seems sluggish, like its pinched or something. I made sure the window is in the track and I even sprayed some liquid wrench (the Dry lubricant version) down in the tracks to see if that would help, but it still moves up and down slowly.
I thought if I have to take it all apart again I better find out if I can get that molex plug because the one thats in there will fall apart if I pull it out again.
Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.

The connectors are pretty tough to find. I doubt if they are Molex connectors, probably Hitachi.
I would go raid a junkyard car and cut it off of the harness there. You could also try the dealer, they may have them.
The one thing to be aware of is that the pins "lock" into the connector, so you need to figure out how that is done. There is usually an extractor tool made by the maker of the connector. If you can figure it out, sometimes you can make your own.
