I've been days looking for the EGR Solenoid in my 5th Gen Maxima. I've look in YouTube, Google images, diagrams, tutorials, you name it! All I've found is 4th Gen Maximas, which the Solenoid is basically right there beside the intake manifold. But I just can't find it in mine, PLEASE can somebody tell me where it is placed in the 5th gen?

Nissan re-designed the way the EGR valve works on the 2000 before doing away with it completely somewhere during the 2001 production.

On the 2000, there isn't any EGR control solenoid. Instead of using vacuum to open the EGR valve like the 4th gen did, the 2000 EGR valve has a stepper motor built into it that is run by the ECU.
