Check engine light on
Check engine light on
Okay I'm new at this site and am not sure how it works yet, but I'm going to give it a go. This is the problem that I'm having with my Nissan right now.
I have the check engine light on, I've taken it in and had it checked out and am coming up with a code 335 and 304. I know that the 335 is for the crankshaft senor and the other one I think is for the firing. One of the piston's is not firing correctly. Anyway can someone please tell me if this year 2002 have two crankshaft senor's or just one and where will I find it at? I need to get my car fixed because sometime when I'm driving the car likes to die on me and I can get it started and sometimes I can't I want to make sure that I get the correct senor. I'm been told that there are two one in the front and the other one is on the side. I've never heard of a car having two crankshaft senor's for please help.
Thanks

Welcome....
You only have one crankshaft sensor..it's behind the radiator on the lower end between trans and engine held on ny one 10mm...
No to confuse you but you do have TWO cam sensors and one crankshaft sensors...
What people have told you probably relates to the 2000-2001 maxima we Do in fact have Two crankshaft sensors and one cam shaft sensor....
As for you p0304 that's a misfire on cyl4 that's also easily accessible by standing in front of the car removing the engine cover and it's the middle cyl. Probably a bad coilpack...
fsm/maxima.org and download the fsm for your car to troubleshoot and learn more....
