engine replacement questions

Hi, I'm in the process of replacing the engine from my 2002 manual maxima with the engine from a 2003 automatic maxima... I found a few threads that mentioned having to keep the upper oil pan from the manualand install it onto the engine that came off the automatic, but that wasn't clear. I've also seen some mentions about engine mounts from the manual should stay on...
I'm just looking for some confirmation if this is the case or not from other people who might have done this already. Thanks in advance.
