2002 Nissan Maxima high flow cat help!

Hi guys....So I am putting on a 3" dual tip magnaflow cat back exhaust on my 2002 nissan maxima and am debating whether or not to put on the high flow cat or not... What should I do? And if I put it on how will it effect the noise of the exhaust compared to the stock catalytic?

if u want sound and performance, gut the precats and the main cat. or gut precats and get a highflow main cat if u have emission tests. it'll be mint

So If you already have a small exhaust leak near the main car and you gut pre- cats, will the car become louder? I was thinking of the same thing the op is doing, replacing the main cat with a high flow cat, but keeping the car quiet.

Gutting the precats and/or main cat will make the car louder. There is less material now to muffle the sound.

Yeah thank you for the offer but I don't think I want to gut them, I mainly want to know how it will sound with a high flow cat vs the stock cat with my catback exhaust

HFC to regular cat is no difference in sound let alone performance.

3" cat-backs become quieter w/a test pipe, weird I know but many of us have confirmed this.

Test pipe actually does add power over a HFC.

I dont think id want to gut mine then, my i35 already sounds like a sports car with the exhaust leak, dont want it any louder. I see they sell replacements on amazon though.
