How can you tell what 5th gen trannies have the LSD?

You can't tell by the VIN number. But you can look at the Vehicle Identification Plate and tell. It is on the firewall in about the center on the car. On it, the transaxel number will be listed.
RS5F50A = Open Differential
RS5F50V = Viscous Limited Slip Differential
I know this is true for 2000 maxs, I'm not sure if it is different for 2001.
