Radiator fans?

Lately when stopped I traffic my cars temp gauge starts to rise almost to the top. Well I replaced my thermostat tonight. But was wondering. Whenever you turn on your a/c, are both fans suppose to turn on or just one. Right now when my a/c is on just the driver side fan turns on. If it's doing what it's suppose to do then when does the second fan turn on? Or is my second fan busted and needs replacing? Maybe that's why it's overheating.

Sounds like it. I just had the exact same problem with the wifes 00. First one fan then the other a few months later. Both times with the exact same symptoms as yours.

Local parts stores will sell a single fan motor for around $60.
You don't need the whole fan assembly they want over $200 for.
You can check the motor first by powering up the plug.

They both should always operate whether at slow speed or no, they're both on the same circuit.
