I just changed my alternator on my 03 Max. Where did you get the alternator from?

If the alternator belt is tight and not slipping, you got a bad alternator.

Yeah i agree with Dennis, i took my max to a mechanic and he put in a autozone alternator, a few weeks later that alternator went out, so he replaced it with another autozone alternator. About a few months later that one went out as well, then i went on line and ordered a Denso, and it's good ever since and that was like a year and half ago.

Had the same issue two weeks ago, Removed the alternator and had it bench tested at advanceautoparts. There was a whining noise from the front end for over a year, and the noise was gone after the brake and battery lights came on. I got a toughone remanufactured alternator from Advance auto parts, and it seems to be working well. I hope it works for atleast a couple of years.
