2000 Max - where's the best deal for a OE IACV

Maybe it's time to put in a little insurance. All this talk about fried ECU's has me hitting the panic button. It's been a good 15+ years of ownership on the SE, hopefully it'll give me and the family another many years to go. I am going to replace the IACV and gasket to to proactive. Where is the best deal for this part?

Tri-cities Nissan for $232 (http://www.nissanpartsasap.com/nissa...er1=237812Y012 ). Rockauto sells a Hitachi unit (http://www.rockauto.com/en/catalog/n...ac)+valve,6072) for $127. There are good reasons to believe it's the same unit as OEM.

I am pondering the same question. However, I have done coolant bypass so I don't have coolant eating on my IACV gasket/wiring.

Does the Rockauto one come with the gasket, and screws? IF so, I would go for it.

They usually come with a gasket. Not sure about screws. I have a few spare gaskets; if you are short, PM me with your address and I mail you one for free.

Is there a Coolant Bypass on your daughter's Maxima, or was/is it "plain stock" ?

BTW, I have bought the AIP IACV but have not installed it.
We all appreciate your input and experience!

Yes, coolant bypass hose. After finding the problem using a MM, I replaced the unit with an used unit off an Infiniti, but that only lasted for @ a year, then purchased a new unit off the internet and that's been on there for the last 4/5 years, and never a problem with the ECU.
