Hi, I have noticed recently by reading the posts by fellow members about dealers threathen to void the warranty if they find something like Intake, Y-pipe,etc. I was wondering about this, cuz I have read it somewhere, that Federal Laws prohibit dealers to void the warranty on cars equipped with aftermarket parts, Unless the aftermarket parts itself are identified to be the cause of the failure??????

Then How come dealers still use that excuse to avoid the warranty work, if there are such laws?????Can we fight back by telling them that? Would they give a sh*t about it or any other possible circumstances?????

The warranty is only void if an aftermarket part caused the failure of the OE part in question. That's the long and short of it.

The easiest thing to do about it is to go to a different dealer, or go to an independent Nissan Certified technician. Or you can take them to court over it if you want to get nasty.
