Are TSB's only covered under the 3/36K warranty??

Thanks to Kev I have the TSB #NTB01-071. It's the one for 2000-2001 Maximas that have the manual drivers seat and the seat moves slightly side to side.(irritating)

I called my SM and gave him the TSB yesterday..he said he will look at it and see if he has the part(push nut).

I called him back today and he said that he does have the part and to bring it in Thursday. he also said that this was a goodwill gesture as my car is out of warranty...38K miles.

I know the brake judder TSB is only covered up to 36K as it states it right on the TSB.......would that be true for all TSB's? I didn't make a stink as he said he'd do it but would just like to know.

The TSB's are only there to describe known problems and how to properly fix them. The cost of repairs is covered under normal warranty just like any other issue. If you have a powertrain problem, the regular 5/60 powertrain warranty will cover the work with or without an existing TSB. All other repairs are covered only up to 3/36, regardless of TSB's.

At least that's how it was explained to me, not to my liking, but what can you do?
