Bought a maxima that was someones baby it had quite alot of handling work done to it such as tien coilovers, rear sway bar and front and rear strut bars. The car has a stillen air filter and it makes very nice noise, reading and watching some videos people made it seem like nwp spacers are the way to make it sound like that. So now that im looking to do upgrades im stuck since idk if to but the nwp spacers or not any way to tell if the car has them? I will be replacing the spark plugs soon so ill be able to check then better just don't know what to look for. Im very new with cars so recognizing after vs stock parts is hard for me any help is welcomed
Now just do the headlight relocation for a true cai (cold air intake ) jkjkjk
No worries on the flex pipes won't be the worse we've seen clothes dryer comes to mind
Haha the gba box lol but no it will be gone i want it to work 100% percent but i already miss the whistle it made when it was closer to the intake

The car also had a sound system that was done very well which is why i knew the owner loved his cars have pics to show!
Will post video of the car once i get spark plugs changed, maf and ovt cleaned. Also might be custom making my intake pipe! And depending how i am with money/what my trusty mechanic thinks might be going for a bigger TB
Your TB still looks stock. If it were NWP’s unit, it have the cool spiral-like adapter on it and the servos are on the opposite side of the OEM one, so yours still looks stock.

Was basing it off the measurement since its about 3inches making it about 75mm while the 70mm would be 2 3/4"
Looks like the precats may be gutted if went through the trouble of a custom Y pipe.
Is it throwing O2 codes or is there a sim hiding under the engine cover?
Part of that y pipe custoom job was due to a leak, no o2 codes will check under the engine cover today
Have videos of it just running... Havent take it to mexico yet tho need to find a co pilot and free time

You need to be much more worried about gutting the cats or getting headers
Not only is it the single biggest power adder on which all other breathing mods rely on, but it keeps the motor from boom boom.
I will buy the new header probably obx sonce the others are rare... I read up on install so i would probably cut the back header off install then weld it back to the y-pipe that all being said i need to sit down and figure out everything money wise and work wise. Im going woth 4" intake since it looks to be a good mod will gut the cats for now while i get the money and save up for all the other parts i want and i need If a good deal come for headers i will buy them but right now i need to repace plugs clean VVT clean MAF, Clean TB and put in a nee thermostat. Once that is done me and my mechanic will talk about the direction of the car amd what steps i will take to get it where i want

VIAS BOP. You can make it out of the existing piece or buy one.

More things to research and add to the list! Depending on how long it takes to make i will see if i buy. Thank you thobi need to get alist going if everything with cost and what not.. Still very confused wether or not my TB is 70mm or 75mm since an org member said it looked stock, maybe i measured wrong? If anyone can tell me how to tell if its stock or not it will help

75mm is a hair under 3 inches. 70 mm is an even finer hair over 2 3/4 inches. With that knowledge it shouldn't be hard to tell exactly what u have.
Ohh. I would venture to guess its stock. Does it really make a difference either way? I mean who cares. It's not like it's going to make some huge power difference if the proper mods don't go with it.

Right now im trying to know what i am working with... If its the 75mm it will be nice if not it will come and i will also be adding the accompanied mods, witht eh two more immediate mods being 4" intake pipe and obx headers
Also, remove it and measure from the rear since it tapers towards the front.
This is the VIAS valve, you're need to remove that entire valve flap assembly including the surrounding frame.
I'd suggest getting on from NWP since he's done a lot for the community and it looks pretty dope. I don't have one personally since mine was modded before the company came in, but had it not, I would have bought it from him.

Will take better measurements tomorrow but yeah the nwp vias lools awesome so ill go with them.
The strut bar is awesome wish i had the front one to match it! I dont know how mucb it does but my car hamdles extremely well! Only bad thing is some torque steer but i need to replace one stabilizer link

I think the rear strut tower bars barely do anything. I spy a rear sway bar that is giving your handling a boost tho
