02 maxima brakes locking up
Hey everyone so on the way to work this morning after driving a couple miles or so my car started to feel like it was dragging, and after a while I had to pull over because the brakes started to smell like they we're burning, got out the car and realized that the brakes we're locking on me and it was only getting worse as I was driving..... Anyone on here have this problem in the past? I'm either thinking collapse brake lines or bad master cylinder any input would be greatly appreciated... It's an 02 maxima with 123k 6speed

Could be a sticking caliper or a collapsed brake hose (internal). Normally a sticking caliper, piston or sliders, will stick all the time and not release while a bad brake hose will release after sitting for a while then "lock" the pads against the rotor after driving.
When it occurs, remove wheel and using a large screwdriver, try to move the caliper outward, which will cause the piston to recede, while prying against the rotor, but if it won't move, undo the bleeder screw and try again. If it now moves, brake hose. Normally when a brake hose goes, most call it collapsed, which it can be, but rust from around the brace will go through the hose and block the flow of fluid.

So today I was driving around and the same thing happened again seems like every time it's hot out the brakes lock up on me so I managed to get home and jack the car up and went around the whole car to see which one was the culprit come to find out they are locking up on me.... Does that mean it's my master cylinder not releasing the pressure? Or are all my brake lines pretty much collapsed? Once the car cooled down all was well it seems to be once they heat up that they start acting up

So what's the story did this just happen out of the blue recently?
Nobody messed with anything related to the brakes at all?
I would start with brake lines first 100 bux for goodridge kit on ebay.
like 70bux for a MC next.
100% they're all locking up?!?!?
Then I would do the MC first.
I mean.... just google it bro...

If the seals in the master cylinder begin to break down, the piston running through it doesn't return properly and may maintain line pressure even if your foot isn't on the brake. If the line pressure is enough to press the pads into contact, all four brakes will generate heat and lock up. The only solution in this case is to replace the master cylinder
