Hey all. I recently acquired a 2003 Maxima SE. Mainly in good condition, interior is clean and it drives ok. However I noticed something a little odd. Just put in a new battery since the old one was dead, and the car cranked right up. Let it run for a little bit and everything was still ok. Turned on the AC and the blower on, worked ok, not super cold but decent. Drove the car approx 10 miles and parked it. Went out later in the evening and went to start the car... Lights came on, went to turn it and.. nothing. Checked the battery connection to make sure it was good... tried it again... nothing.

I was confused as I knew the only thing I did was turn on the AC. So I turned the blower off and tried it again. Cranked up JUST fine.... Has anyone experienced this before?

Another weird issue, when I place the windshield wipers switch down they work fine. When I bump the switch up from the off position it moves them maybe 6 inches then stops. I have to keep bumping it to get it back down....

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!!

 

sounds like starter solenoid (intermittent starting)
