Car stuck in park no brake lights !

Sunday I went out to my 00 Maxima , started it and tried to put in in drive but it would not come out of park and it has no brake lights! Help

Check your brake light switch. I suspect it's bad and the shift interlock prevents you from shifting (you need to have your foot on the brake to shift P->D, but how does the car know you do that when the switch is bad??).
Also, check your fuses.

There is a little rubber stopper piece that fails on the brake pedal assembly. It presses against the switch. Without it the switch is not activated. Part number 46512-H0101

You can replace it with pretty much anything that will cover the hole right now.

If the brake light fuse is blown, you will have the same problem.
