In need of headlight help!

Okay, so I have gone through the first 20 threads on the 5th gen forms with the tire halo, and have had no success with my search.

I bought a set set of eBay halo headlights and the halos are dismally dim. I want to replace them, but I'm not sure what the diameter of the halos are, and I'm sure that someone on her does.
They are my only headlights so I can't take them apart to measure and then wait 2 days for the lights to come.

? how are you going to mod the headlights if you cant take them off because of Daily Driving?

and the effort and time u are putting into Ebay headlights are not worth the headlights themselves...

if u are still hung up on this. get another pair of headlights and go to town. and then sell ur current ones when u are done.

I never said I can't take them off. I said that they can't be out of commission for 3 days while I wait for the new halos to arrive. But if I know the size, I can order them, and then do the whole process when they arrive, and then put it all back together and reinstall them all within a day.

Also, the cost of new halos is only $30, where as new OEM headlights are going to be $300, then I'll have to retrofit the projectors onto them, AND Still do the halos. Id much rather spend that money on headers.

i get that, do they make halos only at certain diameters? why dont you get one u can cut to exact length once ur can of worms is open?

maybe not halos but those led strips and bars.. u see on all the kids headlights.

and i hear ya OEM headlights are a bit, but all this custom work...don't seem ideal on the foundation of "ebay parts"

I think that the good quality ones only come in specific sizes, and I have not actually come by any cut-to-fit halos.

I believe back when I was going to do angle eyes on my 5.5 I found this information on the sizing 145mm outside diameter with a 130mm inside diameter for the larger ring and 131mm outside diameter with a 120mm inside diameter for the smaller lamp

were these on the stock housings? because I just did an eyeball measurement with my calipers and it said 90mm for the projector headlight, and I got 100mm for the other lights.

in my search through the forums, I have seen 4 different times where people have asked the same question, only to still be waiting for an answer, 4 years later.

now, I ordered some halos from Amazon with the sizes I meantioned above, and I will post the results here on the forums!

Bottom right is before I did anything
middle is with the lens off, and just checking to make sure they all worked
bottom right is them all out together,
top is them on the car!

Sorry for the long delay. I got the lights in and the smaller ones were definitely 90mm, they fit perfectly. The larger one however was 95mm, but the 100mm fit just fine, it was just a little big

Nah, I take it off when I go to meets, so I don't want the holes in the front bumper. Down there, they are out of sight out of mind.

actually, I'm from Eau Claire, but I go to school at the U of M, but I keep a Wisconsin plate because we don't have inspections in Wisconsin (they do in Minnesota) and I'm like 90% sure I wouldn't pass

Cool! I'm currently going to school at UW-Platteville, far southwest of WI, right next to Dubuque.

oh yeah! That would have been horrible. I wouldn't have wanted to mess with installing projectors into it! That would have really sucked!
