Hello everyone. I was at the drag strip last night and no matter what gear the selector was in it always felt like it was launching in second gear which of course ruins any chance of a good pass.

I even from a slow roll clunked it down into first and floored it and it took off in what felt like second gear without shifting. The tranny has the drop resistor mod and I just changed the fluid less then 25 miles ago. All motor mounts have been replaced. Please help.

your tranny probably has a stuck body valve not shifting to the right gears. You might have to get a further diagnosis from a trans shop. when you changed the fluid, what was the condition of the fluid, also was it a just drain and fill or did you drop the pan? If you dropped the pan, did you noticed the magnet on the bottom of the pan and look at the condition?
