Yet Another IAC Question: P0505 after replacement of IAC and ECU
I ended up getting a proper ECU for my 2001 Maxima SE along with a new IAC. The problem I'm having now is the car still wants to throw a P0505 every 3-4 starts. No other codes.
I did get it to successfully do an idle relearn, however it is about 100 RPM high even after running. The car starts perfectly fine and doesn't stall or fluctuate at all. I can only assume the ECU is good based on it actually holding an idle, giving an "Idle A/V Learn Complt" and being from a crashed car.
At this point should I look at replacing the IAC again or look at something else? Unfortunately this is an issue as I can't get the car smog tested (and as such registered) in California with the CEL, else I'd just ignore it.
