P1122 and P1124, Car not starting and other things

So on the 2003 6spd, last week I could not take it above 1k RPMs. Restarted it and it was fine. Today I got the codes and they are P1122 and P1124 which are: Electric Throttle Control Performance Problem and Throttle Control Motor Relay Circuit Short.

Anyone encountered this? I checked online and I am not sure if it is just a computer throttle problem, throttle body problem, or as I read one response: a maf problem.

Update: Disconnected battery and reconnected it, Started it up and it drove fine until I stopped at a stop light and the car when back into limp mode. Had to very slowly limp it back (Would not go above 1k RPMs with the pedal fully depressed, had to ride the clutch or it would stall). TPS maybe?

IIRC TPS has a different code. I had an issue with TPS quitting and the car would not rev above 600 RPMs.

Go into the relay box in front of the battery and unplug and re plug the throttle control motor relay several tines. This will clean off any corrosion on the relay pins. If that doesn't work, swap the relay with a similar colored relay. You may have to use a relay from the other relay box.

Well that problem is fixed, but as soon as I fixed it, the ABS light came on. Yet another separate problem?

My guess is that it is a separate problem. I can't see a connection between ABS and the throttle.

Tell me you didn't swap the old throttle relay with the ABS relay.

haha, no I didn't touch the ABS relay... or at least I don't think I did .

So now I guess my first step is to check ABS relay, then check all 4 ABS sensors with a multimeter. Mabye taking it to the dealer for them to check with their fancy computers would be easier. Fun times with the 03', lots of work to do it.

If ABS light is on, then pull the error code.

My bluetooth device only reads check engine lights, and the BlueDriver one I looked at does not read ABS lights on Nissans.

Let the dealer do that, should not ring you more than $100 but you'll know for sure what the code is. Or you might be lucky to find an indy garage with a scanner which can read ABS code as well. I know my trusted mechanic had a very advanced scanner which worked on almost everything.
