Crank but no start - P0340 Code

I posted earlier about my 02 Max which suddenly sputtered and stopped on the road, as I pulled from a stop sign.

I was able to crank it repeatedly while flooring the gas to get it started on two occasions that day, but since then have been unable to get it started.

Based on suggestions here about camshaft sensor, I decided to read any error codes, and lo and behold, there were two codes, all of them P0340.

So what does this mean ? replace the sensors?

Is this replacement a DIY job? Can I do it without raising the car on jacks....?

thanks _ Noela

Front or rear bank? Front is an easy DIY job. Rear is a bit more involved, but still doable. Both done entirely from the top w/o having to jack the car. Watch youtube videos, there are a handful. Ex:
I got Delphi sensors from Rock Auto, replaced just the failed front and kept the rear until that will fail too.

Replace both cam sensors & the crank sensor. They're all problematic on these cars.

Nissan issued a recall in December 2003 to replace the 2 cam sensors and the crankshaft sensor. Check with the dealer and see if it was done on your car. If not, they will do it.
