It's because they're Altima headers. The Y-Pipe on those won't work with our cars. But since you came this far, there's no point in quitting. Where exactly is it a foot short?

Why not take it to an exhaust shop. Sure you'll be open header till you get there, but what else can you do?

Any exhaust shop should be able to slap together an extension with flanges that you can bolt between the Y and cat, if I understood you correctly

I actually ordered Altima headers and y last week. Curious if I was gonna have to get a custom y pipe. Being short isn't an issue for me since I'm getting my local custom shop to mandrel bend a 3" cat back for me since I have 2.5" now. Do you have any pics of the install?

Headers themselves fit awesome...then u go to put the motor mount bracket in....wont fit around front header....then motor mount bar on bottom wont go over the y pipe or under..so u put the bar on headers hit it...u try swapping around no go...there junk better off hollowing stock cats out and running stock manifolds

Sounds like the flanges on the headers need to be relocated. These days it's so hard to find headers for a 5.5 gen. I almost bought 4th gen headers but figured they wouldn't produce as much. i might just have my shop custom fab everything from the header to muffler.
