Selling my 2001 Maxima guys, going German (mods are forsale)

I am tired of dealing with Nissan's crappy service. I went to Nissan to get the steering fixed, but also had alot of other complaints and my services was refused due to car suposely being seen raced at the track many times. I have only been there a few, but been there more watching. My warranty got voided by Nissan Rep, and the dealer, I can not take the car anywhere with my name anymore. I have had enough of the crap. I am getting a German car, that will be turboed, chipped, downpiped, exhaust, and running high 13s. The car I will annouce soon....And no its not a Audi. I wanted the A4, but it didn't feel like a real drivers car. It didn't feel like I was part of it. Unlike BMW and even the Maxima makes you feel like part of the car. Anyways, stuff is forsale in the parts forsale section:

http://forums.maxima.org/showthread.php?threadid=94894

The 5th gen site will still go on, and I will do updates to sections with the help of other 5th gen owners here to the site. And I will still be around. My deal probably won't be final till the end of next week when I get paid. They only gave me 18k for the Max, so I need a little extra money down. Take care guys.....

Is Russ the least respected car BBS member ever? How many boards has he actually ****ed off? Sad thing is that even his 'own' board won't defend him.

Favorite quote: "You can't see it in the picture, but, there's a tampon string just under the passenger side wheel well.

The VR6s come with two strings... one is basically a reserve string in case you lose the first one."

Maxima's are forever scorned at other forums because of Russ. I sometimes respect tenacity but he's crossed the border to fanatacism

Which is why not many will care much about him 'leaving the Nissan family'. The VW guys will be the new banes of society.

I think i know what car Russ wants to get....

VW Jetta/Golf 1.8T

if you do what he said to that car....you can get easily 13's, upgrade the turbo and put an intercooloer and you can even brake into 12's

APR just finished their stage three kit ($4k). It'll give you Mid tweleves and almost 300 hp (they've got dynos and videos and timeslips to back it.

http://www.goapr.com/products/stage3_trans.html

No matter what you think about the rest of the car, you gotta love the engine. Its in 4 VWs and 2 audis.

The mods keep trimming the thread... sigh.

I wonder if Rebecca's new Jetta will have a rainbow colour scheme to match it's masculine styling.

Where's that :gay: image when you need it...

you wouldn't believe how much the 1.8T engine is tuneable....its one of the most tuneable engines in the world, you can get over 300hp easily.

I have no doubt you can tune them to be very fast...but reliability goes out the window when you do that. There is only so much boost an engine can reliably handle before things go wrong. Now, I don't care how much suspension tuning you do to the Jetta/Golf, there is no way you can match a WRX. Remember, you can also modify a WRX to be like an STI with the better turbos etc... and it will have AWD. (the STi does 0-60 in 4.7!!!)

Remember, Russ's main complain is his Maxima is unreliable (probably cause he abuses the hell out of it). Compared to a Maxima, the Jetta is a rolling timebomb

Got to admit it, Russ does attract attention. Just noticed that it's already passed the "paint" sticky in number of hits.

Good luck, Russ.

Male + Convertible = Flaming Homosexual.

Male + 95% of all water cooled VWs = not a flaming homosexual, but pretty darn close.

the 5% of h2o VWs that isn't homosexual is the Corrado.

Did you guys hear, VW is teaming up with Richard Simmons for a "Parade/March" for all it's new owners.

want proof that VWs are pretty fruity... name another car company that sells one of it's models with a FLOWER on the dash!

Particularly the Pontiac Sunfire.

I got stuck with one of those as a rental once, several years ago, and the top actually popped open while driving down the highway. Talk about a drag coefficient.
