2002 Headlight Adjuster Broken

My low beams aim very low, so I went to adjust them one day. I spun the adjuster both ways, and the beam never moved. I could turn the **** by hand. I think it broke off and now just spins freely. Do I have to remove the headlight to fix this issue?

OUCH! are your headlight OEM? or are they aftermarket replacement? I've noticed the aftermarket have adjuster but the shell inside doesn't move since my OEM does move but I replaced it because my headlight was beyond yellowing and clouding up.

They’re factory, original to the car. I’m real bummed out cause that either means I fix it or buy new ones ($$$). I’ll probably pull the bumper off to remove them one day and see if it’s fixable or not. But it’s bad, my beams point like straight down.

I would just buy a new set since now days it cost much as 69 bucks for a pair, you might be better off, if you have the expense to do that

All the ones I've looked at are $150 or more for a single headlight. I want a renowned brand or trade them in for some tinted ones. I'll shop around more though.

02-03 headlights are HID. Aftermarket HID are garbage... The reason why the adjuster spun is because the plastic gets brittle over time and the metal rod that is spins rusts. Remove the headlights very carefully... you don't need to remove the front bumper to do that. See if you can grab the adjuster rod with pliers and try to move it... I have a spare "OEM" aftermarket headlight for parts and I can try to remove the adjusters for you.
