How hard is the upper radiator support to replace?

03 Maxima GLE. While removing the headlights in preparation for the lower radiator support replacement, ran into problems right away. 3 out of the 4 10 mm headlight bolts snapped right off. I tried an experiment drilling them out, no way. They are melted into the threads. Wondering how hard the upper radiator support will be to replace. Looks like all the bolts will be a fight to get off.

Even drilled out dead center, the stubborn metal wont let go.

Are you asking about replacing the whole upper cross member?

Yes the upper tie bar. Is that something that simply unbolts?

I don't think some broken headlight screws are something to replace the whole upper radiator support for. As stated, get some quality drill bits and drill away. It shouldn't take more than a couple hours to knock out. 2 of my 4 have snapped, and I have yet to drill them out and replace them.

I think drilling it out is best as well. Even if it's bigger, you replace it with stainless bolts and be done with it.

Ok thanks. Will tap holes bigger and save $ for hidden surprises. Tomorrow will strip the front and start drilling. This car is outside and its getting cold up here in NE.

The rad support comes as a full unit and replacing the upper only is 4 additional spot welds to drill out
