03 max GLE / automatic


first start is fine, if I cut it off and back on I have to press the gas and rev it up to get it going...? whats wrong?


check engine light on, ( bank 2 / O2 code)


motor and/or exhaust sounds loud from the engine bay when over 2,000 rpm and after first gear, its quiet until I start going.


oil is burning smell, have to put oil in frequently., not sure of issue there.
( dip stick very hard to read)


did a boo boo and cut the trunk lid lift bars out to fit 2 15's back there... hate it, took them out now cant seem to figure out how to put those 2 bars back in to hold trunk up. oops


gas gauge wasn't right, ran out of gas a little under half a tank so got used cluster from pull a part with less miles and from a 03 maxima se which my gauges were silver, these are black faced, love them better, but the TC light is on, prolly cuz this GLE dosent have that option. but not sure if it fixed the issue or not. scared to let it get past 1/2 tank cuz I don't want to run out again haha.


I want to change most of the car into the higher package as possible, going to get leather seats from another maxima, wish I had heated steering wheel, and seats with the leather ones im going to try to find, fan motor rattles sometimes, its annoying.


lowered the car with 2 inch coils, but didn't lower it enough, used factory shocks ( they suck) . rides like doo doo. want coil overs but cant seem to find myself paying more for them than I did the car. what are some good cheaper priced coil overs?


have a set of 20x8.5 20x10 niche milan in black wheels and tires ive been trying to find some factory 05 maxima 5 spoke wheels, or some 350z ray wheels to trade for, wanting 18s or 19s .


changed plugs about 3000 miles ago.

Tein coilovers are only about $650. That's well worth it. Don't ever put the tension bars back for the trunk lid. Get a couple lift/struts and bolt them to the swing arms. You could carry a gas can with you when testing to see if the gauge works. Might be the sending unit. The boards in them do go bad.
