Can't communicate with ECM. Maybe harness, wire shorting, bad ECM.

I think it' the ECM cause I'm trying to read a abs code and saying make sure your scanner is plugged in.

Still could be the harness, bad ground, power at the obd port, etc. Those are free to check with a DMM. I'd start there.
