Caliper bolt size difference top and bottom

Caliper bolt size difference top and bottom

I thought they were the same but now I realize they are different and I didn't pay attention can somebody please tell me which one is the top and which one is the bottom thank you

They are the same bolt, not sure how you got these. Still the same length shouldn't matter

yea, diff collars / thread depth. should be the same,

possibly a shop that did those brakes at one time misplaced one bolt and grabbed "similar"

If they fit, they are both fine. Should be the same P/N as otherwise this would be expecting TOO EFFIN' MUCH from the grease monkeys.

Just noticed this parking brake bolt was missing. I'm wondering if it was supposed to go here and somebody confused the two or lost a bolt
Until I find a replacement bolt I tie wrapped it. I didn't think it was going to hold when I actually pulled the emergency brake but it did!

This is a perfectly plausible theory. Things happen all the time. On my Honda the last mechanic who touched the brakes forgot to put in one of the caliper bolts and I drove with only one for a few months.
