02 Max AC question

Just wondering if anyone may have an answer My AC was always cold now i notice the temp takes a while to cool off warm air at first then it slowley gets colder. I did notice that the low pressure line going into the fire wall was warm however the smaller line next to the suction line going into firewall is ice cold! I connected a gauge to the low side and at 85 degs it shows about 25 to 30.. I attached a picture of the firewall lines.. Thanks......

Suction line should be cold, high side line should be hot, the reverse of what you stated. Sounds like your system is low on refrigerant, which means you have a leak. You said you connected a gauge, are you familiar with HVAC?

Edit: Many places to start (pressures, TXV, repair history ,etc.), but you said gauge, so I'm starting there. For what do you have that gauge and what is your experience with it?

Yes the Low pressure suction side where you would charge the system the little needle valve was loose now that is tight and we have a cap screwed on..

Lazy TXV. Easy to replace, but will have to open the system.
