Car won't start after changing coil packs
I replaced the coil packs and plugs today. Not a difficult reach those three in the rear. Hardest was to make sure not to drop screws. Keep that in mind and you'll be fine.
Now, after the swap, I cranked her up and she started right up. Moved the car a little, then stopped and turned off to go get my driver's license. Then, car wouldn't start. No crank. Nothing. I finally decided to start on neutral. Cranked right up. Went for test drive (for the coils). Came back home. Now, won't start in park or neutral.
I changed starter about 2 months ago as well as a new battery.
Can you think of anything I could've touched on the process of changing the coils that would cause this?
It may be coincidence that the park safrty switch goes bad at this moment, but seems too coincidental.
Any ideas? I didn't disconnect our remove anything else. I may have inadvertently, but not sure.
2001 GLE.
Uodate: just noticed gear selector indicator remains in D. That might explain why it won't start.

I recently had the SES Light flashing and code p0304. I read in another thread to get the Hitachi's from Rock Auto so I had to let the car sit for a couple of days since the local auto shops in my neighborhood did not carry them. They were worth the wait. I swapped all six coil packs and plugs. Now the car is running like new. My only advice would be to mark everything when removing the plenum to get to plugs 1/3/5 on the VQ35DE.
