I changed my plugs due to p0300 codes, noticed one was full of oil, going to replace the valve cover gaskets and hope it stops. Will that cause it to burn oil?

 

What year? If 3.5 you'll need to replace the valve cover itself.

 

Sorry, it's a 03 3.5, I saw that yes I bought new valve covers, was wondering if that adds to the misfire and could it cause it to burn oil?

 

I had a misfire code that I resolved by changing the coil pack and the plugs on my vq35de. I also changed the valve cover because I also discovered oil on one of the plugs. The car no longer burns oil like it was at one point.

 

I have a misfire, changed plugs saw one had oil in it, and one coil boot was tore acring out. Pulled plugs replaced them and the boot, erased the code. Was off for maybe half a day then started missing again. So plan on new coils, and valve covers and gaskets. It burns some oil and was wondering if that could be part of it. Either way, I will find out once everything is replaced. Will post results.
