Hey everyone, im new here and don't know if this will even reach anyone. I have a 2002 maxima with stock navigation. I want to remove the navigation and replace it with a double din aftermarket radio, only issue im having is that the climate controls are apart of the navigation unit. I dont want to restore the buttons I want to completely swap it out for the traditional way. Has anyone found a fix to this or is it still impossible?

 

I worked on the wiring aspect of this and figured out all the re-wiring that needs to be done - with one exception. I could not find the wires in the nav unit that turned on the rear window defogger. Part of the challenge to re-wiring is that you need to remove wires from one connector and move it to another spot in the same connector or into a different connector. To do that, you need a special tool to remove wires from a connector.

I posted my wiring info in two different threads that would have to be searched for. I have to search my computer to see if I saved it.
