GReddy+Y pipe too loud....need help

Hi guys...I just experienced the combination of Y pipe+ GReddy exhaust could be very very loud, and I didn't like it especially when on a long trip...so my question is what can I do to reduce the decibal level yet still have that nice low tune when accelerating hard? Need advices, thanks...

It's still loud even when stock resonator on there? I remember when I had my full-cat/cai/y-pipe I took off my resonator and that **** was loud as ballz!! I had to put back the stock resonator..

lud exhaust

Call Dallas at our 800 #. He can custom make a resonator to your requirements. I believe the Greddy systems do not come with a resonator. Simply cut out the appropriate length of pipe and have your exhaust guy weld and clamp on the new. Minimal decrease in flow but less rumble.

Re: lud exhaust

thank you so much for the advice, guys...i was wondering if i just put the muffler part of GReddy cat-back set with the stock b-pipe+resonator together, will that help to reduce the sound level?

Do the exact opposite of this, leave the greddy B-pipe, and put back the stock muffler. If you go with a resonator, get a perforated core, not a louvered core because the louveres cause a bit of turbulence and cause back pressure, something you do not want.

The Greddy does come with a reonator, I think.

Re:

what's the different between perforated core and louvered core?

what type is the GReddy resonator? and how about the stock resonator?

will the combination of GReddy b-pipe+stock muffler give me a nice low tune? i know it's not going to be like the GReddy...

thanks for the help! once again...

use the stock muffler and keep the ride fairly quiet, with minimal HP losses over the greddy muffler

i like to keep the greddy system(especially the muffler part) but don't want it to be so loud...just want to know will stock b-pipe+greddy muffler work? or is it going to cause back pressure and not reduce the sound level at all?
really don't want to spend extra money if i can...

has anyone done this before? i know it sounds really silly,but...hey, everyone has done something stupid in their lifetime, right

appreciate any inputs...
