I drive around for about half an hour and I didn't mitice any warning lights but i popped my hood and my engine seemed to be hotter than normal and without much thought at all i pulled my coolant reservoir from its place as it isn't bolted down and raised it up allowing coolant to go into the radiator. My car started to bog down like it was drowning and i pulled the throttle cable some hoping to remedy my stupid mistake but of course it had no effect and i turned the engine off but it was too late. Now it cranks but wont start. I see no other changes no leaks or anything. What did i do? Im guessing i damaged the head gasket, the piston rings, the valves, or the head or some combination but honestly i have no idea this is a new area to me and i dont know where to begin. I do my own work so if anyone who knows can point me in the right direction or offer some feedback or guidance I would be grateful to hear your response. THANK YOU.
