This has been a very satisfying experience by undertaking two automobile projects for my 26-year-old Nissan Maxima.
My goals were to update the technology within my 2000 Nissan Maxima GLE.
First the instrument cluster was acquired from a donor 2001 Maxima SE trim from the salvage yard and worked like a charm. The GLE Cluster was just too dark for my taste and lamps were burned out within the original factory cluster.
Lastly, the installation of a brand new 7-inch In-Car Multi-Media Player (TFT Screen) that provides Bluetooth, Radio receiver & Smart Phone Mirroring linking. I am completely satisfied and enjoying all the modern features of today's technology.
Tosi hyvä projekti, ja Maximan päivittäminen noin kuulostaa järkevältä tavalta pidentää auton käyttöikää. Varsinkin mittariston vaihto uudemmasta donor-autosta on fiksu ratkaisu, jos alkuperäinen oli himmeä tai kulunut – se tuo heti enemmän selkeyttä ja käyttöfiilistä.
Myös 7 tuuman multimediajärjestelmä tekee ison eron arjen ajomukavuuteen, kun saa Bluetoothin ja puhelinpeilauksen casinova-fi.net käyttöön. On aina mukavaa, kun vanhempaan autoon saa tuotua nykyaikaista teknologiaa ilman että se menettää alkuperäistä luonnettaan liikaa. Kuulostaa siltä, että lopputulos osui hyvin siihen mitä hait.

A really good project, and updating the Maxima like this sounds like a sensible way to extend the car's lifespan. Especially replacing the instrument cluster from a newer donor car is a smart solution if the original one was dull or worn - it immediately brings more clarity and a feeling of use.
The 7-inch multimedia system also makes a big difference to everyday driving comfort, as you get Bluetooth and phone mirroring. It's always nice when you can bring modern technology to an older car without losing too much of its original character. It sounds like the end result was very much what you were looking for.
