sup all, i went to the mall near my house and in the parking lot...i saw a super OEM 2k max SE passed in front of me, but that car didn't have mod on its exhaust....it's oem exhaust, how come its car can make a really deep tone??? sounds super good to me~~!!

 

My guess is he had some kind of air filter like stillen or perhaps frankencar and a y-pipe. Those two together would give him a pretty deep sound especially at around 3500rpms and above.

 

You are right there, but he couldve also removed the resonator to help make the sound deeper.

Stillen Intake

My cousin with this 4th gen has one and it sounds sweet.

 

maybe he poked a hole in his exhaust.....

 

Maybe we can make our own Y-Pipe with the leftover dryer-duct from the last oscai attempt

Total Cost:
$9.67 - dryer-duct & rubber bands

or the better upgrade:

$14.55 - dryer-duct & mounting clamps

maybe it's just an aftermarket exhaust that looks just like the stock exhaust.. or he changed the piping but kept the stock muffler..

 

Perhaps it was a free-flow cat w/stock muffler?

BTW: Any 2k2 owners have positive results with the Free-flow cat?... Perf. numbers would be nice

he had an intake for sure, i have the franken car intake and my car is stock performance wise and with just the intake it is much louder under WOT, where are you maybe it was me that you saw im a black 2000 se with clears
