Warpspeed "Y" & "B" pipes

Just spoke to Dallas at Warpspeed (cool guy) and he said that the 5th gen Y's should be ready next week (he told me to call back next Tuesday) because he's waiting on some flanges to come in. The prices have been posted on the site and it's the same as the 4th gen.

The B's, he said, will probably be a week or two because of a software bug in the mandrel bending machine, which is being fixed.

Just thought I'd post this tidbit because of the burgeoning demand I've seen of late for these items.

Peace....

No, the price for the "b" is not there yet and he didn't say what the cost was.

Actually, I didn't ask...

Any before/after dynos planned for 2002 Max?

Thanks for the update...I think a lot of people are waiting for a Y for the 02 Max.

Lovely, I was going to call him about the Bpipe.

I believe the pricing for the Bpipe was supposed to be around $100-125.

A question I asked about a million times and still have not got an answer on is:

What is the b-pipe going to be made from? What size will the piping be? Will it be offered with and without and resonator? If with resonator what type?

Man I swear I answered this for you, and I believe Dallas already mentioned this on another thread.

The piping will be about 2.5" mandrel bent. It will be offered in both with or without resonators and customizing for more than one resonator. Dont know what the pipe will be made out of though.

2.5" seems logical.
What is made from is most important by far! So it is 100% certain it will be offered with and without res? You use the word "customizing" for the resonator. Can you please go into detail of the various types they will be offering? Perforated etc... Also how with and without may effect performance and sound?

Lotta talk of this over the last few months but no real answers or solution as of yet. I've been hearing they will be available "next week" for the last month or so. Still waiting for the answer as to That software issue for the mandrel sure taking a while to work out! Hopefully the price is right but depends on what it is made from?

By customized, I meant where in my case the Ypipe and Custom Muffler made my joint ground shaking loud. I have talked to people about putting a 36" resonator or doing a combo of two resonators, a 18" and then a 12" to help mellow out the vibrations/sound. The different types he is going to offer is Several choices of resonators, either perforated baffle or cheese grater style and a host of lengths. The prices like I said are going to be around 100-125 range.

I can probably assume it is going to be some type of stainless steel or coated to avoid rust. Dont need to be too concerned with that since Dallas at WSP is all about catering to our Maxima needs and is a great guy. Awesome work and prices.

PG, what Dallas told me today is that the infamous software bug requires someone from Asia (Japan or Korea, can't remember) to fly over to troubleshoot. However, as luck would have it, they're having a hard time getting a visa for the guy to enter the states. Looks like we should petition the INS to let the guy in. Hmmm...do you think we have someone from the INS with a 5th gen who could pull some strings?

As for the "B" material, I think it's aluminized steel but I'd bet that (don't take this as gospel!) if you request stainless steel WS would hook you up.
