Have you you all ever seen an automobile with a paint job that changes colors when at certain distances (from your eyes). At work, their is this Toyota 4-Runner from one of the quality Audio centers ad on it. The unique thing about the truck is that as it's coming towards you, it's a medium color green, then as it passes by you it changes to a burgundyish color, and as it keeps going, turns to amustard green color.

If anyone knows what type of automotive painting process this is, please list it.

I have been delaying trying to posts this notice because I wanted to see the truck a few more times before I commented.

Had to check my Eye site to be sure I wasn't going bananas. I also got some witnesses, so more than one person has seen the colors changing on it, than me.

 

my max plays this trick on me
sometimes in dark light it looks black.
in some lights it looks green or purple.
but most of the time its Grey

 

You can get a lot of after market paints that do that. My friends stock car was painted with a teal that changes to a deep blue in the sun all the way to black at the track.

 

It's a fad that's came a couple years ago and seemed to go as fast as it came...

it's pretty sweet looking though. I saw it mostly in that bluish-purplish color.

hey, you should see my chameleon paint. when its not sunny, it looks like a dark silver, but in the sun it looks like bronze/goldish. o wait... that's the stock paint job.. gotta love/hate sterling mist.
