Need Help w/Dynamat

ORG I need help removeing the carpeting on my trunk hinge. The 2002 Max has carpet covered cardboard on the inside trunk hindge. There are wide plastic screws that I though were pop out, but they ain't poping. The screws look like they would screw out with a Phillips heard screw, but they ain't budging.

How do I get those bad boys off so I can dynamat it and cut back on the Sub rattle.
