3M clear bra

Have any of you all had your 3m clear bra installed by someone else? or have u guys all done the job yourself. Im sure i wouldnt have the patience to do the job myself and was wondering what type of place should i look for to do it? Im seriously considering one after my first paint chip in my 2K2 last weekend. Nissan paint really does seem soft...thanks in advance! JAKE02

Your best best bet is to check with auto window tinting shops. There's tons of information on this forum if you type clear bra in the search feature. Links, info, prices, advice, are all there. Good luck!

I did mine myself and would recommend it if you have patience and are willing to follow directions. I have done two of my cars now and am a believer.
For the Max I bought a 12" strip and installed it then trimmed. about $20. www.xpel.com

I wanted more than just the hood strip, and what with being pressed for time I just paid a local shop to do the mirror fronts, the hood, and wrap the front, plus the headlights and foglights. That plus tint ran me about $545. It was definitely worth the cost to me, it looks great (definitely better than what I would have been able to accomplish), and has an installation warranty. It took about 5 hours for them to complete the job.

I feel your pain on the paint chip if you go to xpel.com and type your zip code they will give you a list of official xpel installation centers. I had them do it and took about an hour. But the clear bra starting peeling out so I had to take it back "again". Looks great though and most people won't notice it.

where do you live? also, if you are going to do the hood, tell them to make the hood higher..i have like an 8inch of clear on the hoood, i would like about 13 inches of clear on it. seems that it would do more..IMHO.

also, i have it done by an installation team. costs about the same as the previous post.. the hood, bumper (custom, had some stupid thing installed on by the dealer..a bumper strip) and fender wings (bunch of bull) and the mirrors (another piece of bull). I have to do the rear bumper and the sides (where the cars open to hit, i'm scared to death of door dings). but have to save the $$.....
