Recently got a FSTB from Streetbeatcustoms. There is a slight interference with a bracket mounted near the right side of the bracket (about 8 inches from the end of the brace). I was thinking of adding a shim under the end brackets to raise it slightly.

Question is: If I use wahsers under the bracket (without shimming the entire bracket) will this put too much stress on the studs?

Is this the same problem with the Courtesy bar? Is the Streetbeatcustoms one really for a '99?

The Streetbeatcustoms brace is for the 95-99 model. You need to remove a small portion of the air box mount for the driver's side bracket to fit. As far as I can tell, the bracket for the Courtesy brace has the same problem with the air box mount.

I have the courtesy bar

I simply used my trusty hack saw to remove part of the air box mount. If you're still using your stock airbox you can even hide the cut.
