Frankencar question

Frankencar question
I did a search, but couldn't find the answer to my question. What is the noise level difference between stock intake and the FC at highway speeds (60-70) with the cruise control set? I want a lot of noise when accelerating, but I do a lot of highway driving and don't want a consistent, loud noise at those speeds.
Thanks is advance,
Tony

Shouldnt be much. If you cruising, barely at all noticable on ANY intake. Most of the intakes start showing their noise levels at Wide Open Throttle.

btwn 60-70 you're going to be at about 2-2.5k rpms correct? the intake starts picking up growl around 2.8k so you should be ok, but at highway speeds you wont even notice it after you get used to it, esp cuz of road noise...w/ windows down from a stop you notice it...

Even at high RPM's it won't be noisy. The intake noise is directly related to how wide open the throttle is. If your foot is barely on the pedal, just to keep your speed consistant, you won't hear a thing.

just to add my .02, I finally installed my F-car intake last weekend. Not only was it easy, it's exactly as advertised and just want I wanted. Quiet around the neighborhood, no droning at constant speed, but the "on-command" growl whenever I want it.
BTW, steve, I know you're working on the 4th gen intake, but do you have an ETA on the stage 3 for the 2k2?
