some ppl said they have their rotors warped when the car is still new, i was wondering how "new" is it when the rotor warped? how many miles?
when i brake and come close to complete stop, the car kinda vibrates, so i tried to put the car in neutral than do the same thing, it still vibrates..so i guess the rotors are bad...the car is only 3700mi and 7 month old

You should be able to get them replaced at a dealer. Do a search for rotors in the 5th gen forum and you'll find a lot of info.

The dealer gave me new rotors and pads last month, I have 20,000mi and had the car for a litle over a year. I'd say I noticed they were going bad bout 6 months ago. Regardless, I hope they upgraded the part now that they realize there is a problem, if not I expect to need a new set again in a year...along with every other Max owner in the US.

If your dealer won't replace them for free, go to another dealer. If you can't get anyone to replace them for free don't buy replacements from Nissan, get a better aftermarket set.

From what Ive seen on the

Edmunds boards is that Maximas come from the factory with their lug nuts over tourqued...something like 100 when they should be in the 70-80 range(cant remember exact #) This is according to a member there who says he is a Nissan tech. I guess the over tourqing can contribute to the warping.....

I had my tires balanced a few weeks ago so I hope that they put the wheels back on with the correct tourque...

Then again this could be a bunch of garbage

Think mine are warped too...

I'll probably be visiting a dealer shortly.

There are prob free 5th Gens out there

My father has a 2K SE with 20K on the odo. he has had it for a year and 2 months and has yet to have a single problem. He lives where it is now freezing cold, and has no cold weather start problems, he has no problems with rotors, his paint doesnt even seem to be chipping. Go figure. Still though, I love my Max. Just got back from a weekend trip of 1500 miles,a dn come T-giving, another 1800 miles. Man I love to rive this car.
