I was talking to some friends and they made me mad as hell cuz they keep tellin' me their cars are faster. One drives a 97 bmw 328i and the other a 2000 volvo s40 1.8t. Can i beat them? I can't really race b/c i have 20's on my car. What do u guys think?

 

Lots of variables but here's my thoughts. Who's this Volvo think he's kidding? 160hp automatic POS!?! Easy kill. BMWs are always to be taken seriously but if you're a 5spd and he's auto I sure wouldn't worry. He might take ya if he's a 5spd but that will depend on you and your driving skill. Go kick their butts!

 

depend if you have automagic or 5 speed... 5 speed.. you will win both... auto.. not sure..

 

My maxima's an automatic SE. Does anyone know how fast the bmw and volvo run 0-60? I'm thinkin' mine runs about 7.3sec.

 

yes you can best both; i would worry more on the volvo;lol! he is more to race but the beemer costs lots of money to go fast
if you know how to race you will win all in the driver

 

Motor Trend magazine says the Volvo will do 0-60 in 7.7sec and the BMW will do it in 6.9sec. But, I say with those big 20's you have you probably would lose to both of them.
