Dragging your Maxima

When racing, do you fellow 5sp. drivers shift into 5th gear or can you hold 4th through the 1/4 mile without redlining the engine?

Never raced before...gonna go soon!

I've never drag raced before either but from what most people are saying they top out at 90-95mph at the end of the 1/4. If you don't mind getting close to redline, you won't even need to go beyond 3rd.

cant hold 3rd. a few feet b4 the finish line, you have to get it into 4th... unless your car is real slow
