Anybody find out the answer to this.........If the Optima Yellow Top is not a perfect fit.....how do you get it to fit? Is there an adaptor or extension you have to buy too?

p.s. I ask b/c I'm considering one soon

You need to dremel off the plastic a little bit on the positive side. You see that piece that's preventing it from sitting flush on the battery..

Mine fits, and that includes a terminal post for my amps, which normally gets in the way and makes it a tighter fit. What you need to do is cut some of the tie downs and electrical tape that's holding the positive cable to give it more slack and movement. If you had the Frankencar intake for the 2K-2K1 like I did, you would have already done this to get enough slack for the MAF wires. Be careful not to cut the wires, just the tape and hose sleeves to the left of the battery holding the wires in place. You can also try to shift the battery further back in the tray so the positive cable can reach.

You mean dremel the battery cover?? I wouldn't do that if I were you!

Just cut the tie downs and get some slack for the positive cable, like I said above.

Not the red battery cover.. The black plastic piece that sticks out and prevents the + cable from sitting flush. I guess I'll have to take a pic

ya theres been problems with bigger batteries before..
i dont remember the exact fix.. but if i remmber correctly, you need to change the positive for a longer one..

or u can solder more wire for the existing one... or u can try to pull some slack...

lemme know what works for you..
