Hood problem, 01' i30
Whats up all, I know i've been away from this board for a while, but i need some help now...
I have noticed my hood bouncing around alot during city (bumpy road) driving... more than usual id say. Also, on the highway, it seems as the faster i go, the hood (left side) seperates more and more from the front fender. It appears that at around 80, there is a little less than an inch gap between the fender side and the hood. What could possibly cause this?? Could it be just an illusion? It has me spooked, imagine the catastrophic effects of a hood flying off at speeds of 80+... Anyone else have this trouble? Thanks all...

I think my cousin's maxima did that too after he got into an accident. I don't know if it still does it, but the only thing I can think of is to twist those rubber things which support the hood in the front. One of them has probably rotated and need to be readjusted.

First of all, I think you need to be specific as to the hood bouncing (actually jumping around on it's contacts/mounts) or the hood 'flex' other threads have discussed.
Jumping might be cured with altering the stops...flex might be cured by the TSB...
I am going to check mine tonight to see if the hood metal is properly attached to the braces like it says...
