2k brakes

My 2k needed new rotors after 15k. Now at 34k the rotors have turned blue again but do not vibrate when braking from a high speed. Anyone have this problem. Also, my Max is about to go out of warranty, does anyone have advice on what to have the dealer check before it expires?
out !!!

How on earth did you turn your rotors blue?? Do you ride with your foot on the brake pedal or road race the car? It takes a lot of heat to make them blue - unlecc you happen to have blue brake pad meaterial!

Yeh, its a mystery to me too. I don't ride with my foot on the pedal nor race. This blue color is where the pad hits the rotor, I don't think my pads are blue, they are grey. The dealer "did me a favor" (according to them) and replaced them (15k). Back then it would vibrate when coming down an off ramp from highway speeds, no vibration in city traffic. My delima is that now at 35k, I only have 1k to go until warranty expires. I have an apt. to have them look at them. Thanks for the reply.- raleighmax

I also had the same problem...... Brake Judder TSB done at 11k. Had to have it done again at 35k. Wanted it done before no longer covered. Dealer gave me a hard time. They said they only do it once, then I have to pay. I called 1800Nissan1, who got the dealer to do the fix for free.

Service Manager said I abused the brakes because they were blue. I don't race the car and have never had to replace brakes on ANY car before 100k. I do 95% highway driving. If the rotors are blue, it is a manufacturing flaw, NOT abuse!

Next rotors will NOT be Nissan OEM's.

If you are not frequently braking hard then I would check all the pads for equal wear. If the rear pads aren't showing as much wear as the front then perhaps you have a braking imbalance problem. Or if your rears are the ones wearing prematurely then make sure your parking break is functioning correctly (it may be stuck holding your pads down. Hope this helps.
